Good Omens

The second book I mentioned was one my sister introduced me to. My older sister Leiah wants to be an author, and has great taste in literature. I had tried to read one of Neil Gaiman’s books before, but thought it was a little too “out there” and didn’t finish it. I then found Good Omens in her room and decided to read it. It was a funny book, and it made me think. The boy who is supposed to be the Anti-Christ has a choice to make that will impact the history of the world, and through some funny events he ends up deciding to be who he truly is - a kind and loving little boy. Although I don’t often think about the book, I have read it many times and often find different meaning in it each time I read it. I also really enjoy it because it is nice to see how things can play out for the “good guys” even when it seems like the “bad guys” have everything going for them. It’s a good story about finding who you really are, even if it’s not what others expect of you, and I try to follow that in my own life.

  1. Hurrah! I read the Graveyard book last year and really liked it. He pays attention to language rather than focusing solely on the storyline and that is the key to my heart! This has been on my Good reads list forever. I'm glad to hear it is good!
